In the far east, black carbon steel has been a popular metal for use as a stir fry wok for many generations. Much lighter than cast iron, a black carbon steel wok is easy to wield for stir frying and tossing food.

This heavy gauge 2mm thick black carbon steel wok is pre seasoned, heats quickly and retains heat to prepare restaurant quality dishes. Unlike non stick pans, black steel is safe to use at high temperatures as well as with metal utensils. The more you use black carbon steel, the better it performs as it develops a natural non stick patina. Black Steel naturally enhances the flavour of food by sealing in nutrients under high heat.
Suitable for use on gas, ceramic, electric and solid plate elements.
