3. Transactions made with the Gift Card
3.1 Purchasing a Gift Card at Stores
Nominate the value you wish to be loaded on the card. A minimum of $5.00 can be loaded on each card. Pay for your Gift Card with the tender of your choice. The transaction will be completed when the card is activated through our point of sale system.
3.2 Registering your Gift Card
As a means of security we recommend the user of the Gift Card registers it as soon as possible to safe guard against loss or theft. Your Gift Card should be treated as cash and Registering your Gift Card ensures we are able to cancel it as soon as you notify us of the loss or theft of your Gift Card. Stevens are not liable for transactions occurring after loss or theft and prior to Stevens being notified.
3.3 Purchases with your Gift Card
Select goods within a Stevens store and present them to the Sales Assistant at the counter along with your Stevens Gift Card. The Sales Assistant will process your purchase and Gift Card.
3.4 Purchases exceeding the Gift Card Value
Your Gift Card may only be used to make purchases up to the Remaining Card Value. If you wish to make a purchase for an amount that exceeds the Remaining Card Value, you must pay the excess using another payment method such as cash, eftpos or credit card.
3.5 Purchases exceeding the Gift Card Value
If your purchase total is less than the Remaining Card Value, then the new balance (remaining balance) will remain on the Gift Card for use at a later time. Change will not be given in the form of cash or refund.

You can check your card balance in store at the counter, or by calling 0800 80 1600.
3.7 Validity and Expiry of the Gift Card
Your Gift Card and any new Gift Card issued pursuant to Clause 3.4 will be valid for use for 12 months from the date of issue or from last transaction date.

You cannot obtain a cash advance with your Gift Card or redeem your Gift Card for cash.

Once the Remaining Card Value is completely used you can either keep your Gift Card or you may hand it to the staff at any of our stores and we will dispose of it for you.
